Suck a Vampire Rock Movie Trailer

March 15, 2010 in Movies, Music by Brian Logee

As you know I’m a sucker for a vampire movie bad pun intended. Many turn out to be really bad but every once in a while a vampire movie will stand out from the pack.

Suck is a comedy vampire movie about a rock band while on the road becomes vampires to improve their rock. With classic great lines like:

  • “what happens on the road stays on the road”
  • “try some groupie”

The trailer is awesome! Watch it below.

Unfortunately it is currently making the independent film rounds which means for me living in the middle of nowhere I will have to wait to watch it.

The guest stars in this movie floored me: Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Moby, and Henry Rollins all musical icons plus , Dave Foley who’s performances I have always enjoyed.

Glee

Season two brings us hope and promise for Kurt to find a new boyfriend.  I’m excited over this prospect because Glee SF News Bites: Glee, Merlin, Iron Man 2 and Stone Age Medicine has a track record of being very respectful in their portrayal of minorities.  In addition to that they have done such a great job in representing Kurt as a gay character especially in the episode when he comes out to his friends and family.  (via 365gay)

Talking Heads Once In A Lifetime Literal Version Video

January 22, 2010 in Music by Brian Logee

A Talking Heads literal video practically writes it’s self.  Watch the video below.

The video is for the Talking Heads Once In a Lifetime video.  With some oddly funny lines like “and when I catch that elf”, “sweatier then I ever was”, “and I’m just a normal guy”.  David Byrne like myself have had many adjectives to describe us but “normal guy” would not make it on the top 100 list of them.

This literal version is more parody then singing about what is actually going on in the video but it’s still funny and worth watching.

Cool Guys Don’t Look At Explosions

January 21, 2010 in Music by Brian Logee

I missed the original airing of Cool Guys Don’t Look At Explosions but I”m glad to have watched it.

This hilarious song really captures some of the absurdity in the explosion scene in movies where the lead character walks away from the explosion and not looking back.  This song is from The Lonely Island Cool Guys Dont Look At Explosions, the same talent that brought us I’m On a Boat,  Jizz in My Pants and Dick in a Box.

Catch an appearance of JJ Abrams in it. I only wished he sung “Lens Flair” during the song. Watch the Video below.

Christopher Walken Performing Poker Face Mashup

January 21, 2010 in AVM, Art, Music by Brian Logee

Christopher Walken is a brilliant performer, dancer and has a great sense of humor.  The video below is yet another example of not only that brilliance but how a mashup can culturally make it even better.

A while back Christopher Walken did a reading performance of lady Gaga’s Poker face on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross BBC1.  This reading was very funny to watch leaving me chuckling and doing my own impression of Walken saying “P P P poker face… poker face.”  Then DJ Leekee took it up a notch with a video mashup!

Lady Gaga vs Christopher Walken-Poker Face(Mashup).  Watch the video below.

Depeche Mode – Fragile Tension

November 30, 2009 in Music by Eric

Depeche Mode always make stunning videos, and this is no exception.

I like the song, but the video effected me in a way I never expected.  I miss James Bond movies.  I hope the franchise will right itself after they fire Daniel Craig, but until then, I have this video that reminds me of what a new Bond intro should look like.

Felicia Day in Charlie’s Angels TV reboot

November 18, 2009 in Music, tv/series by Eric

Drew Barrymore [... would ...]like to update the old TV show for ABC. A rep for Sony Pictures Television confirms that the network is close to ordering a pilot of the reboot, which Barrymore would develop with Leonard Goldberg, who produced the original series with Aaron Spelling, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ Josh Friedman, who’s been tapped to write and exec produce (EW).

Felicia Day’s name has been brought up a lot, and I think she would be perfect.  The better question is who should the other two be.

Freema Agyeman feliciaday Felicia Day in Charlies Angels TV reboot Dichen Lachman

Freema Agyeman and Dichen Lachman would make for the dream team.

The likelihood of these three staring in a new Charlie’s Angels is slim, but wouldn’t it be great?

Who would your dream angels be?

Wow!  I have not been all that excited about the Clash of the Titans remake, but this trailer changed my mind.  It looks great, but I didn’t see anyone I recognized as Caliban.  I am really curious what he looks like.
