Here is a list of awesome Vampire and Vampire-like Musical Songs that are a must hear for Vampire fans.

  • Lestat ~ I Want More

Most of the musical sucks (and not in a good way) but it’s all worth it for this one song.  This youtube version is cut with video from Interview with the Vampire.

  • Dance of the Vampires ~the whole soundtrack

Tanz der vampire Must Hear Vampire Musichttp://www.danceofthevampires.com

This is an excellent musical all about us horror addicts favorite subject! The all and mighty fang! What is cool is that you can download all the songs for FREE here: http://www.danceofthevampires.com/multimedia.html

My two favorite songs are:

Carpe Noctum – or Seize the Night.   This song is excellent on so many levels. The beginning is scary, then it launches into full orchestra instrumental, then it ends with a balladry kind of call to arms for the demons of the city. Not to be missed! This one is cut with video from our favorite cartoon villains.

Confessions of a Vampire.   An excellent, sad song about a vampire and his guilt over feeding. This version is a bit out of sync on the video. Better to close your eyes and listen. If you haven’t checked out this musical, you definitely need to.

  • Romeo et Juliette, Russian production

Take a British playwright, have the French write a musical from his works and then get a Russian production cast? If that’s not weird enough, for some reason all of these videos, though they are an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliette, have dark or vampire-like overtones. Check them out and see if you don’t agree.

Aimer

Les Rois du Monde

Who’s the guy with glowing eyes?

  • Rock on Dracula fanboy!!

And lastly… for your amusement, the Dracula song from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”.

Well cut and moving when you know the story, Marilyn Manson’s cover of Tainted Love is a perfect match to Final Fantasy VII.

WTF Gene, I mean WTF!  In another spot:

Adam should have won. On the other hand he should have kept his mouth shut about his sexual preferences. I don’t really care what he wants to do and neither does America. But this kid’s got talent, Adam Lambert can go on. As long as he’s quiet about whatever else he prefers to do indoors. I personally don’t care, I mean if you love farm animals, that’s fine, but I don’t wanna read a magazine about that (AfterElton).

gene WFT: Gene Simmons to Adam Lambert shut up about sexual preferences?I am a huge Kiss fan.  My sister became a fan when Rock and Roll over came out, and I grew up with their music.  It has been the sound track of my life.  I own all their albums, most of their DVDs and have seen them in concert a couple times.  When I was 16, my sister took me to see Kiss as my first concert.

Now, I have to admit that I have never been the biggest fan of Gene Simmons.  He has suffered from foot in mouth disease for decades, and he has one of those personalities that has always made me roll my eyes.

This is blatant hypocrisy!  Gene’s entire career is based around him talking about his sexuality, sexual preferences, and sexual activity.  Gene is the man who said, “If it’s not about sex, its not rock and roll.”  How dare he of all people say that anyone should shut up about their sexuality!

Adam has talent.

Gene’s view of Show Business

I don’t think this quote is necessarily homophobic.  Gene is first and foremost a business man.  I assume that he looks at Adam’s decision to come out as one that will hurt his ability to sell records.

As someone who has made a career off singing about his love of women, I can understand that.  Personally, I would love  a gay rock star who isn’t afraid of wither his sexuality or an electric guitar.

Boo Gene.  At least Paul Stanley is the one who is doing the majority of the work on the new Kiss album.

Total Eclipse of the Heart is probably the greatest overly emotional “O $h!t I think I love you” songs ever written,” but this literal version of the video takes over the top to a new and hilarious level.

Other videos that need a literal version:

  • Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel
  • White Wedding  by Billy Idol
  • I want candy by Bow Wow Wow

What videos would you like to see get a literal treatment?

Two of my favorites Star Wars and Phantom of the Opera in one video!  A Star Wars / Phantom of the Opera filk song video watch it above.  This is a great and ambitious project.  They did a great job adapting “Angel of Music”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, and “Beyond the Lake”.

This is one of the only songs I have ever heard that captures my love of Star Trek!  Julie Ecklar always delivers her trademaek brilliant performance.

What you have to remember about this song is, at the time their was a growing rift between Star Wars and Star Trek fans.  I tried to remain neutral, but songs like this and the Klingon Fight Song, made it nearly impossible to remain so.

I have never heard this song before, but it is perfect for this video, and for Legend of the Seeker.  I might have to track down this album and check out the other songs.

Yet again, the vidders got me.  They found another song that I really don’t like and made a video I do!  Ugh, I give in.

This video is so well cut, it wouldn’t be hard to believe that this was an official video.  Great job.  This is the Legend of the Seeker.
