I am really sorry but you need to brush up on on your Goodkind lore. There are 11 books not including his novella Debt of Bones. Also you should have waited until the break between the seasons to start your pod cast... on top of that you need to look at some of the forums dedicated to the books. There is a lot there by one of Goodkind's close friend.
  • Thank you for the correction. I honestly forgot how many books were in the series. I thought I remembered, turns out, I was wrong.

As for the show, we made the decision to start the Kings podcast on episode 1, and enjoyed the process so much, we decided to continue with a couple more shows that we loved that were airing. The Legend of the Seeker was one of them.

I hope you are enjoying the show, even with my small error. The vast majority of the feedback we have recieved has been very possitive.

I do wish you had left the links to the message boards you mentioned. I would love to check them out.

hey there!! i love ur podcast, in fact im listening to it right now (3rd episode) and i have to say, i agree with u guys in almost everything. I wanted to write to u guys to correct u in just one minor big detail, not that related to LoTS but to Hitler.... i am part of the Richard & Kahlan forum and i was the one that agreed with you guys about how Darken Rahl is similar to Hitler... well in podcast u mentioned how Hitler's mom had a lot of husbands and one was jewish, etc. I have always been interested in the Holocaust and i had to study Hitler's life and well u made a mistake. Hitler loved his mom and hated his dad. His dad abused him but he wasnt jewish, he was raised by a jewish family and he used that excused to hate them. it was his father the one that had more than one wife, the mother had (not sure) just one husband... Now going back to LoTS/ Wizard's First Rule. Darken Rahl always talked about his father and how much he loved him in the book, that hasnt been mentioned in the show at all.... which i think its ok because that would make the show more complicated.

anyways, sorry this comment is so long!!! besides that i thing u guys are doing an AMAZING job here! i think u guys analyze things in a new and refreshing way, please keep doing it!

P.S eden was great!! i lover her input in the show, glad to have a girl in the show!
  • I used your comment as the basis of a post (here).

Thank you for the clarification, and I hope the post clears up what I was trying to say.

    Hello!
I just found your podcast a few days back when I was in the Itune store and I have pretty much listened to it ever since.

Given the fact that I'm a very big fan of LotS and SoT series I have noticed a few things about the TV series which I find very odd/weird so I figured I could share them with you guys and perhaps you could talk about it and give me your opinion.

    1:
    In episode 10 (Sacrifice).
After Zedd has been confessed Richard makes up a plan with the confessors, to confess the D'harans.
Since there are only 6 confessors and a confessor can only confess one individual before their power has to "recharge" then they would only be able to get 6 D'harans to help them but...
In the end of the episode when the D'harans charge the confessed Zedd there are like 20-30 of them.
How is that possible?? It shouldn't be right??

    2:
In the end of episode 16 (Bloodline).
After that Darken Rahl has smashed his guards head into the piedestal where the boxes of orden used to be he says and I qoute "Let it be known through out the three territories...."
I'm assuming that he means Hartland(Westland), Midlands and D'hara.
How would he possibly contact Hartland? First of the boundary has been upp since the end of episode 14(Hartland) and the Journeybook that the Viceroy used to have didn't Kahlan tell Anna to destory it after they had sent the message to Darken Rahl?
And why would Darken Rahl possibly send a message to Hartland even if he could? Richard is in the Midlands/D'hara so he wouldn't know if anything happened in Hartland....

    Am I making any sense?

Anyway I found these things kind of weird and if I'm wrong please tell me so!

Also I heard in the last episode of The Confessed (4) you said that you were going to attend a convention and get to interview actors? Or who was it that you were going to interview?
Can you please clear that up for me a bit?

Please keep on recording all summer otherwise I'm afraid I might go mad because of the lack of LotS!!
Big fan of you show and please keep it up!!

Hi guys!!!! thanks for the shout outs from the other episodes!!! i didnt post a comment on other episodes before because I just didnt have too much to comment.... some things i didnt like other I did... but focusing on Reckoning I have to say that at first I was dissapointed but then I gave it a lot of thought and I just understood what happened....

Brian I know u dont like spoilers... Eden (if u are there) I know u love them.... Eric this is for you feel free to distribute the information here!!!!, at first i thought they were goin to explore Richard's inmunity to Kahlan's power in this season but apparently not. The reason I was dissapointed at first is because i thought that they were goin to use the whole power of order and power of confession canceling out to finally get them together... but then at the end of the episode we dont see them together... they even discussed about Richard leaving because his mission was over so that means that they still think that Kahlan can confess him? thats what i think... The power of orden was gonna protect him at that moment.. now that is gone, then he is still vulnerable? that is why im not dissapointed anymore.... there is hope for the next season to explore why Richard is inmune and they dont have to use magic, but love...

that was my opinion, but i would love to know your opinion on some points that i noticed... that is if u get to read this loooooooong comment before you record the Podcast

#1 . This is for Brian... no Zedd.... I mean he had like 10 lines..... i was surprised by it... i like the guy but im not his biggest fan...(he always interrupts R/K)...what do you think?

#2. The prophecies... there are 2 as you know...and the first one has been fulfilled.. what about the second one? Do you think Kahlan in a way betrayed Richard? I dont think so but i think she did think so .... since I dont think they are gonna bring Temple of Winds to TV there must be a way to show her betrayal .... what do you think?

#3 I dotn think we have seen the last of Darken Rahl.... something doesnt fit.... also.. the Sword oh Truth was used by him to separate the boxes of orden... but it didnt burn... do you think something else happened to it..??

#4 ok this is getting too long.... but this point is very important... Richard faced temptation AGAIN... in Mirror he had fake Kahlan offering herself to him and said NO.... to a girl that had Kahlan's body....and here he has a naked Cara and the thought of a dead Kahlan.. yet he says no.... that obviously means that he is looking for her love not her body.... that is the difference between Kieran and Vivian... that can foreshadow future events.... (PS. kieran wanted to be with vivian at any cost..... it wasnt until the end where you see that he does love her... just not like Richard loves Kahlan...)

#5 I have many more but i think I should stop, what do you think about the acting... specialy Bridget's acting as a mom? and the special effects....????

I know this is too long but just pick whatever you want.... I know Im not the only one commenting. Im sure more people from the R/K forum have great thoughts too!!! It is a great place!!! =)

one quick question though, are you gonna do a podcast for all the other episodes??? i would love to know what you think about them.. specially on some like Denna, Conversion, Sacrifice.. the mjor episodes...

once again, thank you for this podcast!!!! it has a very mature way of looking at the episodes! Sorry once again for this long comment!

  • As a big Zedd fan I liked the little parts he did have though I was a little let down that he initially resorted to Wizard's fire knowing the dangers that it presented. I think this was a weakness in the writing for this episode.
Zedd can not flee like he has in the past when faced with the Mord'Sith but he's clever enough to have resorted to some other means of trickery or obfuscation to help out R/K and to stall long enough for Richard to take control of the power of Ordin. Of course if he would have succeeded then the entire episode would be undone and since the writers already picked their course with the time travel thing it would be less dramatic to have Zedd do something else and fail rather then having him burnt alive by Wizard's fire.

Have missed your podcasts...none since July 1st...what's happened?

Hi! Really love this podcast, though I only just discovered it about a week ago. I'm not sure if I found the correct version of it, though, since the last podcast is dated June 30th? I found the discussion page for episode #14, but cannot find the actual podcast episode. If you could point me in the right direction for where to find it, that'd be great, thanks!

Or did you guys just 'cancel' this show? That'd be a shame. :(
  • Thank you very much Kita for enjoying the podcast. We have not canceled the show nor have we put up any more recent episodes yet. In July we gained some clarity and became inspired on a better direction that we want to take dashPunk and Project Shadow. This direction is still the vision of what we set out to do: create a place where fans can gather and share with other fans their love of what they are fans of which includes SOT / Legend of the Seeker! Passion = Life
Though we were over joyed to get clarity of vision we like Richard accepted our quest and have now embarked on the difficult journey to make the vision come true. We have fought our way through the veil into the midlands and are now in talks with the strong mud people.
This quest has consumed most of our time and we unfortunately have not had a moment yet to get another episode done though we will as soon as we can. In the mean time if you would like to discuss anything please feel free to start a forum discussion here in Project Shadow and check out the posts at dashPunk.

Please make another podcast soon!! I'm dying for some Seeker!!
  • We are diligently working on the reboot of everything and are also chomping at the bit to get another seeker podcast out :) I can assure you that we will get new episodes out if not before the start of the season then by the start of the season. A teaser of some stuff to come I will get a group together for fans of LOTS / SOT over in our community at Project Shadow.com we are gathering together video's, pictures, and as much fan works as we can get our hands on. We will also have discussions there too. If you have anything you would like to contribute head over and join in the fun :)
