R.I.P Tom Lantos

LantosU.S. Rep. Tom Lantos, the only survivor of the Holocaust to serve in Congress and the founder of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus, died Monday in Maryland of cancer of the esophagus. He was 80 years old (Gay.com)

I wish known that he was in the hospital… not that there was anything that I could have done for him, but I would have liked to say a prayer for such a great friend of the community.

A tireless champion for the rights of all the peoples of the world, Lantos will not soon be forgotten. May he take up the rest that he so richly deserves, but I imagine he will continue interceding for those who need a champion.

Our nation will now lay to rest a great voice for them people. May many rise to fill the vacuum.
