Stargate Universe Teaser

SCI FI Wire put up a short teaser for Stargate Universe:
We have all been speculating about the nature of the new Stargate series, well the new teaser (while short) gives a couple answers.
I speculated that Stargate Universe = Farscape + Lost in Space (1998). It looks like I need to add Battlestar Gallactica and Lost to that list.
If I might leave the main character from the trailer (shaky cam) aside for a moment, it looks like they are truly trying to take the series in a new direction.
The purpose of this teaser seems to be to wash away all comparisons between Stargate Universe and Stargate Atlantis, leaving the impression that the new series will be a darker, grittier series in line with the post-modern aesthetic established by Battlestar Gallactica and Heroes.
It will be interesting to see if the series carries on with this dramatic change in tone for the franchise, or whether this is just a cleaver bit of marketing. Personally, I think it might simply reflect the dire circumstances the new crew find themselves in when they arrive on the Destiny, and not necessarily the direction the series will follow.
What did you think of the teaser? This might be cause enough for a Stargate Podcast in and of itself.
