Don’t worry I’m not going to send you on a suicide mission to collect space honey nor enthrall you with the many wonderful smells of the universe. I did want to pass along some savings that even Conrad would be impressed with.
I love watching Futurama it’s a great show. Often I find myself comparing my friends to the different characters in the show. For me I’m somewhere between Fry, Conrad and Zoidberg which says all kinds of sad and weird things about me.

This is a must own, I know I have already ordered mine, lol and it is released on Tuesday Jan 15th. The creative geniuses over at the Family Guy show did a tribute for Star Wars 25th anniversary earlier in 2007 where they took famous Star Wars scenes and filled the roles with the cast from family guy and gave it a family guy flavor and sense of humor. The most memorable clip was after the death star took control of Lea’s ship Vader Stewie enters the hall. He pauses looks around and then complains because not one of his storm troopers had the consideration to clean up the mess, not that it would be much trouble and not that he was important and all.
In 1892, J.R.R Tolkein, the master of Mythopeia was born. I have mixed feelings about Tolkein since the Peter Jackson films came out.
Ok, I admit that I am a bit of a fanboy, but I am getting tired of all of the Lord of the Rings pop culture references. I admit that the Family Guy poltergeist episode was hilarious, but LoTR used to mean something to me. Now it is nothing more than a trilogy on the self. I read the Silmarillion again recently, and pray that they don’t make a film out of it.
These words are not going to be welcomed by a lot of people, but I have to say it: Sometimes the movies corrupt the books. I am burned out on LoTR for now. I can’t wait of the day when the pop culture forgets about Tolkein and for his legacy to be returned to the people who care about the books, not the money.
2K Games nabs license for multiple “freakin’ sweet” games; first game to appear this fall; High Voltage to do the development honors.
…
“We are looking forward to bringing the colorful Family Guy characters to life in a one-of-a-kind action/adventure style game (MTV).”
Heads, they make a disastrous game in the tradition of the many Simpson Games (except Road Rage… i like Road Rage). Tails they do something fresh and original that takes advantage of the Griffins and their neighbors…
Why won’t the coin stop spinning? [sigh] I guess we’ll have to wait to see what they do… I hope this is a good game, but we’ll see.
