Avengers
Producer Kevin Feige confirms the main characters in the Avengers movie. “It’s three people – four including the Hulk; five including Nick Fury – who you’ve seen before in other movies, coming together for the very first time.” I can only hope that this movie is as good as Ultimate Avengers animated movie. Transformers 3
In the works as expected. Currently Michael Bay is moving along with the script and scouting locations for Transformers 3: Chicago, Detroit, and Washington D.C. I really enjoyed the first two Transformers movies my main concern is in the script. (via SCI FI Wire)
Jason Momoa has been cast as the New Conan The Barbarian. I’m excited with that pick. Jason’s a great guy, talented actor and can physically fill the role of Conan. Most are familiar with him playing as Ronon Dex from Stargate: Atlantis (via /Film)
Mortal Kombat
A Mortal Kombat redo is in the works, they have selected a writer Oren Uziel. The hope at /Film is that he will bring more depth to the Mortal Kombat movies then the previous films. I like the idea of adding more story depth to the Mortal Kombat movies but that can not be at the cost of loosing what made the series so great. They are so much fun to watch.
Based on the comic Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk. The Hulk was a monster, impossible to control, too dangerous to ignore. So Earth’s mightiest heroes exiled him into outer space. But now The Incredible Hulk crash-lands on the distant planet Sakaar, ruled by the tyrannical Red King. Sold into slavery, the Hulk becomes the planet’s mightiest gladiator—but his new masters get more than they bargained for when he forges a bond of brotherhood with his fellow fighters: crafty insectoid Miek, ruthless rock-man Korg, ex-shadow pirest Hiroim, and the noble-born rebel Elloe. Unlike Earth, the desperate people of Sakaar believe a monster is just what they need. But will the Hulk be the one to save their world…or destroy it?
Marvel has done such a great job with their direct to DVD movies. I have watched, bought, and love each one of these.

Marvel has done such a great job with their animated direct to DVD movies and now they are adding Planet Hulk to the list. Watch the trailer above.
I can’t wait to watch and own Planet Hulk!!! In the mean time I guess I’ll have to stick with the comic. If you haven’t read it yet get your copy from amazon here: Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk
Planet Hulk is planned for a February 2010 release date.
Hulk Vs. Wolverine is smashing! The opening of this was brilliant with Wolverine waking up smashed into the ground wondering what happened. This tale was more like Hulk Vs. Weapon X since the Hulk fights not only Wolverine but also Sabretooth, Deadpool, Deathstrike and Omega Red. The only sad part about this movie is that it will probably be better than the Wolverine movie due to come out latter this year.
The story: Wolverine is recruited to hunt a monster that ravaged a Canadian town. Unfortunately for Logan he stumbled into the middle of a Weapon X hunt for their ultimate weapon the Hulk. Now Wolverine must struggle to survive the attacks of the Weapon X team and get the Hulk out while not getting smashed in the process
Hulk Vs. Thor is awesome! In this we actually get to see the pure Hulk unrestricted by Bruce Banner. It’s like normal Hulk Vs. Thor then they go into overtime and we get to watch unfettered Hulk Vs. all of Asgard. This is an owner for me, it has a lot of rewatchablility and I have even noticed many subtle new elements with each viewing.
The story: Loki unleashes a revenge plot against his brother Thor during Odin’s sleep. Loki pulls Bruce Banner from Midgard and separates him from the Hulk than sets the Hulk loose upon Thor and all of Asgard. What If: the Hulk was unrestricted, enraged, and let loose upon a place.

Hulk Vs. Thor: A gods verses monster movie. Loki looking for a way to bring defeat to his step brother teleports the only monster in the nine realms capable of this feat, The Incredible Hulk from Midgard. The Hulk gets transported to Asgard which confuses and as expected angers him leaving Thor to try and stop him in an epic battle.
Hulk Vs. Wolverine: The Hulk is loose rampaging through the Canadian Wilderness. To stop him Canadian’s Department H sends out Wolverine their elite agent. This is the wild Wolverine before the X-Men days and without some of the tempering from Professor Xavier. The clash results in a fierce battle. Dead Pool also makes an appearance and complicates matters even more for Wolverine.
In recent years we’ve seen franchise reboot after franchise reboot. The Hulk, Batman, Star Trek, The Punisher just to name a few. And now we have yet another reboot of…The Punisher? In word handed down via interview for iFMagazine with director Lexi Alexander, the movie is
More of a reboot like THE INCREDIBLE HULK, than a direct sequel to the 2004 reboot that starred Thomas Jane, PUNISHER: WAR ZONE stars Ray Stevenson (ROME) as Frank Castle, a one-man avenging force out to take down all organized crime in retribution for the death of his family many years ago.
Now I have nothing nothing against reboots if they are properly done, but it seems Hollywood has gotten lazy. It was only four years ago that the last reboot of The Punisher franchise was done, and I loved it. Now they’re doing it again and saying they’ll do the same story even better. No longer are they willing to spend the money for original ideas they are settling for rebooting reboots. We need fresh ideas, fresh creative works, new blood. This trend is unacceptable. Make Hollywood take notice, that we are a force to be reckoned with and will not be placated with the same stories over and over and over again. If you see a fan film support it, if you like an indie film buy it, if they have merchandise wear it.
