This video is great it really captures all of the leather, submission, torture and sensuality of both the song, the Mord’Sith and the interactions between Denna, Richard and Cara. The ending is so perfect, watch the video above.
After my first encounter with the Mord’Sith in Legend of the Seeker I could not help but to think of the song Venus In Furs by The Velvet Underground. The song, is inspired by the German novella by the same name. The main character’s name is Severin. Severin’s story is basically a guy who was so infatuated with Venus that he takes up the slave role in a BDSM relationship to be with her. She then falls in love with someone else and She becomes their slave.
Thanks John The Rogue Demon Hunter for this awesome Legend of the Seeker vid. In under 3 minutes he captures the epic struggle of Kahlan and Richard against all opposition. Watch the video below.
I like how the video starts out cut from one fight scene giving it a slow feeling matching the pace of the song then when the song speeds up the video matches. The video cuts are tight and really fit the moments. Lots of sword play, dagger play and other great fantasy combat moments.
While watching season two of Legend of the Seeker I have been wondering what is Denna up to? Will we get to see her in season 2?
Jessica Marais talks about mentions that Denna will be in Season 2 in an interview. There is not much in the interview beyond that and Denna will appear in two episodes.
I hope that Denna would return showing some growth of character like with what we get to see in Cara. It would also be interesting to see if Richard would be as patient with Denna’s redemption as he is with Cara.

Review: Legend of the Seeker 201 “Marked” (via dashPunk)
While watching the first episode of LOTS season two I couldn’t help but to get the set up for a joke. Instead of finishing it I want to challenge all of you. Lets come up with the best finish the joke.
A seeker, a confessor, a wizard of the first order and a mord’sith walk into the bar…
John the Rogue Demon Hunter posed an interesting question on Project: Shadow.
On the show that is. I think he was initially taken with Kahlan when Giller was torturing Kahlan and she still wouldn’t back down. This may have been why he flinched during Giller’s ministrations. Also, the blood rage was powerful enough to make him run for his life. I think he was intrigued with her to start and this was why her wanted to voluntarily become his queen. I think becoming the mother of his child solidified his feelings. I would like to seen a episode arch in the show where we saw over time Kahlan’s effect on Darken Rahl and maybe seen him starting to change his ways. That is until Kahlan tries to kill his son. At least for episodes should have have been dedicated to the future storyline.
It is an interesting idea. I said on The Confessed, I didn’t feel Darken Rahl was truly evil, just extremely off the mark on how to best achieve his goals.
Granted, it looks like they have proven me wrong with the season premier for season 2, but I drew heavily on the Darken Rahl’s reaction to Kahlan’s torture as proof of his character.
I don’t want to bring the books in here. The show has forked significantly from the novels, and I think we need to take Legend of the Seeker as a show inspired by the novels, rather than based on it.
Darken Rahl respects and admires strength. Rahl saw these qualities in Kahlan, and I think he saw something else: A means to escape the Keeper.
Darken’s infatuation with Kahlan showed him the say to gain the power he wanted. The Keeper did not rise in the future, why? Because Darken lost the boxes on Orden an gained something he ever had before. A life of his own.
Kahlan offered Darken a world at peace and security. All of the threats to him had been removed with Richard’s death. He didn’t need the Keeper anymore.

Check out the video interview below with Bridget Regan & Craig Horner from Legend of the Seeker. They answer three fan questions in the interview with hilarious results.
Any good pranks on set?
Would you date a Mord’Sith or a Confessor?
Did you ever get to hug a sheep?
Witch would you rather date a Confessor or a Mord’Sith? For the sake of the question put aside the dangers and lets presume male or female Confessors and Mord’Sith.
The Seeker saved everyone from Darken Rahl but the struggle to keep the lands safe is not over. The wizards second rule: The greatest harm can sometimes come from the best intentions, in Richards case he stopped Rahl but tore a rift in the veil between the land of the living and the underworld.
Now the Keeper of the Underworld can send those who serve him across to kill the living. Richard must fight against Screeling attacks, the D’Haran forces are on the move, a split in the Mord’Sith over who is in controll and their quest to find the next from the line of Rahl.

It took me a while to formulate my thoughts on Legend of the Seeker episode 201 “Marked” because there was so much brought up. They did a great job bringing up all of the conflicts and tensions that will run throughout season 2 of LOTS. I’m really looking forward to seeing how each of the main heroes will resolve their respective internal conflicts. Can’t wait for the next episode.

We get to see Shota again. Her outfit looks great.
Rachel makes an appearance in this episode they even have her with the doll.
They pulled off two full nude scenes on broadcast television both Darken Rahl, and Cara.
The greater conflict for season two is set up well with the Keeper and the Tear in the veil
The internal conflict within each of the three heroes Richard, Kahlan and Zedd is set up well.
Wizard’s Second Rule
I had fun comparing the differences between Darken’s and the D’Haran’s Story of Richard’s Inheritance
The Screeling
I loved the Keepers voice it has a paternal tone about it.
I love how they don’t show the Keeper. A very supernatural horror approach to it.
Tension between Cara and Kahlan
The prophecy and the tension surrounding interpretation of prophecy
Dislikes
I felt that the Mord’Sith conflict was resolved too quickly
The familial changes between Richard, Darken and Panis Rahl
Tension between Cara and Kahlan
