A writer plans to sue Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, accusing her of plagiarizing her by lifting passages from an obscure book she wrote called The Nocturne and using them in her vampire romance Breaking Dawn (SCI FI Wire)
I don’t know if there is any truth to the allegations, but my biggest question is WHY?
It is no secret that I am not a fan of Stephenie Meyer. I don’t like her style, and could not finish Twilight because of it. I know a lot of readers that feel the same way as I do. Why would you want to associate your name with Stephenie Meyer except to try to get the attention of Twilight reader? There are 2 big PR problems with this.
Twilight fans are rabid and will attack The Nocturne and author Jordan Scott
Non-Twilight fans will categorize Jordan Scott with an author they don’t like
The only hope Scott has is that she will win her case and get some money out of it, otherwise she has simply hurt her career.

It’s no secret that I am not a fan of Twilight and that I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so when you can imagine the glee I felt when I saw this video of Buffy slaying Edward. Well edited and funny, this is a great fan edit!
Sword Masters: The Duel of the Century: a Shaw Brothers film. Liu Yung and Sun Chien team to investigate the martial-art murders of a supposedly mortally wounded swordsman, only to find deception, death, double-dealings, imposters and one deadly duel after another. I’m very curious about this film it makes me think of The Duel which rocked, plus it’s a Shaw Brothers film which any wuxia fan can appreciate.
Ghost Hunters: Season 4, Pt. 2: they travel from a sanitarium which has placed 911 calls to the police — but there is no phone in the building! — to the most haunted ship in the U.S. Navy. Then go to a tavern in a TAPS member’s own hometown where customers are heard enjoying a game of pool but the hall is closed and empty, and a home where a small child hears voices and has unexplainable scratches on his body. TAPS even goes to the plantation seen in “Interview with a Vampire” where 35 tourists all witnessed the same paranormal activity at the same instant!
