Destination Truth: Season 1: This show is awesome, Josh Gates does a wonderful job taking us on an adventure all over the world. IN season one we go hunting for a mermaid like sea creature, the Chupacabra, has an amazing Bigfoot sighting, the Tokoloshe, werewolves, and visits a haunted village.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Even though I don’t care to watch this movie like the first one I have added both to the rental que. That said I’m actually more interested in the the second Twilight movie just because Christopher Heyerdahl is in it. Even the studios don’t think so high of the movie. They have released it at the marked down price of $16.99 rather then the $20 range that is typical of the double disc releases.
The rumors have stirred about a fourth Underworld film. John Hlavin a writer for the Shield is tapped to write the next movie. I have no strong feelings one way or the other about Halvin. The question is, What Would Underworld Four Be About?
If Underworld four takes place before the events in the first two movies then I would love to see Selene’s embrace story. We could see the height of the Lycan war as they are hunted by Vicktor and the supposed defeat of Lucian. This would mean more Bill Nighy as Vicktor and Kate Beckinsale as Selene, a huge plus for me.
Some are saying that Kate might not return, sad if true but then I would like to see a story taking place after Underworld: Evolution. The remaining Lycan’s and Vampires have to work together to protect themselves against hunters. The hunters could either be church backed or a secret government division either would be sufficiently threatened by vampires and werewolves. The hunting could be due to the attention brought about from the war in Underworld 1 and Underworld 2 resulting in more people finding out about the existence of and having evidence for the existence of both vampires and werewolves.

The Sanctuary is a place of refuge, a safe haven, for those that are different from humans. Known as Abnormals they are non-human intelligent creatures and humans with genetic variants. They range from the cute to the extremely dangerous.
Dr. Helen Magnus, a 157-year-old English scientist, and her team of experts run the Sanctuary. They try to help the Abnormals and learn from them. Working toward a peaceful existence between the humans and the Abnormals.
The show follows the adventures of Dr. Magnus and her staff as they struggle to bring harmony between the world of the humans and that of the Abnormals. This difficult task because of the more dangerous Abnormals like Vampires and Nubbins is complicated further when the Cabal goes on the move. A shadow organization with desires to spark a war between the humans and Abnormals the Cabal desires to see the extinction of all Abnormals.
Sanctuary is a great contemporary fantasy show with a polder society full of a wonderful array of exotic creatures. I loved the episode with the Yeti, their portrayal of vampires and werewolves. Sanctuary is also not afraid to tackle those social issues which makes for great speculative fiction, never being afraid of asking what if and exploring it thoroughly.
Sanctuary was originally an independent production which used a web publication model. After their first season became a big hit the show was bought up by Sci-Fi channel. They did some re-writes did some new shots and aired what is now referred to as the first season.
Looking Forward at Sanctuary Season 2
Finding out what happened to Ashley Magnus, who changed after being kidnapped by the Cabal at the end of the first season.
Many more Abnormals including an oil rig extraction.

Crescent Moon is a manga began in 2000 with the name, Mikan no Tsuki (An Incomplete Moon).
Plot: A young girl is a good luck charm to all those around her, but she herself is the most unlucky person alive. A group from the lunar race ask for her help to find a power source called Teardrops of the Moon that has been stolen from them. The lunar race representatives are a vampire, a werewolf, a kitsune (fox), and a tengu (heavenly dog). The girl enrages the tengu at every turn and though he hates her, you get the feeling they will fall in love.
Likes:
Beautiful underwater art.
Filled with poetry.
They study a cool book, which shows research pages from an ancient text.
Dislikes:
The beginning is confusing. The author used a character entrance format that was hard to understand.
I didn’t know what was going on until half way through the book.
Sometimes the characters had freaky long limbs that did not have anything to do with the supernatural, it was how they were drawn.
Upcoming: There are 6 volumes in the series, but it did not interest me enough to continue. This was not a bad manga, just not my cup of tea. You can find out all about this manga at the Tokyopop Cresent Moon page.
